Actor Vinnie Jones revealed in an interview with Yahoo UK that he was invited to play the wall-busting Juggernaut in the next Deadpool & Wolverine movie, which stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. The last role Jones had was as Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand.
The Costume Is A Mental Toll As Said By “Juggernaut” Vinnie Jones
Vinnie Jones claimed that wearing the costume had a “mental toll” that he was unable to handle.
“Funnily enough, I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one now, and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on mentally and physically,” Jones stated. “I mean, being in there and being unable to do anything for the entire day but drink through a straw definitely had a mental toll. Thus, we were unable to complete the transaction for Wolverine and Deadpool.”
Actor Vinnie Jones claimed that X-Men: The Last Stand is “shambles.” He said that his role as Juggernaut was “not the same role that had signed on to do” and that it was “diluted.”
He is genuinely in love with Deadpool.
He further said “But Deadpool’s my favorite movie of all f***ing time more or less. I really wanted to do it, but they didn’t have the budget to put me in the suit,”
Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled for release in theaters on July 26, 2024.
