Smriti Mandhana is a rising star in cricket born in July 1996 is an Indian cricketer who plays for the women’s national team. She is one of the best women in cricket we have. She was born to Smita Mandhana and Srinivasan in Mumbai.

At the early age of 9, she was selected to play for Maharashtra. By the time she was eleven years old, she was selected to play the Maharashtra team under 19.

Domestic Career Of Smriti Mandhana

In the year 2013 October, she was declared the first Indian Woman to score double 100 in one day of cricket. She was playing from the Maharashtra team opposite Gujarat she scored 224 runs from 150 balls under 19 tournaments. Vadodara witnessed this record at the Alembic Cricket Ground.

She was the top scorer in the Women’s Challenger Trophy where she scored 192 runs and won the game. In 2016 she signed a deal with Brisbane Heat for the Women’s Big Bash League for 1 year and became the first Indian woman cricketer who sign for the league.

She also faces one awkward moment when playing against Melbourne Renegades where she falls while bowling and hurts herself in the knee.

In June 2018 she signed the Kia Super League where she also became the first Indian woman to play for the league. She was also named for the Women’s Big Bash League season.

When Talking about her International career she made it she made her test debut against England at Wormsley Park and helped her team win the match by scoring 22 out of 51 balls in her 1st and 2nd innings.

She played her second game when India toured Australia in 2016. She played very well and was the only women Indian Player named to the ICC Women’s team in 2016.

She missed the World Cup Qualifier and also the Quadrangular series in South Africa while she was in her recovery period when she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament.

The match was against West Indies where she played very well and became the name of the game by scoring her second 100 in One Day International. She became part of the team that played in the final Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2017 but unfortunately lost the match.

When talking about her progress as an Indian I really feel proud. In T20 Women’s she becomes the fastest player to score 50 in just 24 balls. She was named the player of the series. During the match, she becomes the third cricketer for the Indian team scoring 100o runs in WT20s. The star of the team that what she became.
