Authorities claimed that Justin Timberlake was charged with driving while drunk after his early-morning arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, on Tuesday.
The Sag Harbor Police Department stated in a complaint made public on Tuesday that Justine Timberlake, 43, was driving a 2025 BMW when an officer saw him run a stop sign and then fail to stay in his lane two separate times.
After starting a traffic check, the officer found Timberlake was operating a vehicle in an “intoxicated condition,” according to the police.
The complaint stated that Timberlake’s “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
“I had one martini and followed my friends home,” the “SexyBack” singer reportedly told Sag Harbor cops.

According to NBC News, a spokesman for the Sag Harbor court and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office confirmed that Justin Timberlake was arraigned on at least one DWI allegation on Tuesday morning.
According to officials, Timberlake entered a not-guilty plea and was given a July 26 court appearance date.
According to authorities, Timberlake was “released on his own recognizance” following the arraignment.
In a statement to NBC News on Wednesday, Timberlake’s lawyer Edward Burke Jr. said, “I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations.” I’ll speak up when the time is right, but I’m waiting for the District Attorney’s office to provide me with all the details.”
According to a person close to the celebrity who spoke to NBC News, Timberlake had dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor on Monday night before getting stopped while driving to a friend’s house.
