J K Rowling’s tweet on Wednesday regarding a report on transitioning children provoked a round of criticism over her views on transgender rights.
The well-known author JK Rowling claimed in a post that Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe well-known faces from the “Harry Potter” movie and other celebrities who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors should apologize to her for criticizing her previous remarks on gender identity issues.
She has been open about her views on transgender issues for many years. Within the author’s continuous commentary, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have shown sympathy for those who identify as transgender.
“Transgender individuals are authentic and deserving of a life free from continuous doubt or accusations that they are not who they claim to be,” Watson tweeted in 2020.
On the website of the LGBTQ NGO The Trevor Project, Radcliffe posted a letter regarding the problem in 2020. That states
“I sincerely apologize for the hurt these remarks have caused to the people who now feel that their enjoyment of the (‘Harry Potter’) novels has been tainted or lessened. I sincerely hope that you retain some of the value that these stories held for you,” Radcliffe wrote.

“I do believe J.K. Rowling must have been elevating detransitioners’ voices. I felt like, “Let’s just stop talking about it,” and I believe that I’m now a little more brave when it comes to having awkward talks,” the woman said.
