Shogun, the most popular historical drama on FX, immerses viewers in ancient Japan’s engaged and captivating world, complete with politics and intrigues.
The series was created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks and is based on the book of James Clavell book.
The show centers on the exploits of Englishman John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis), who becomes embroiled in a struggle for dominance among five daimyo.
After being thrust into an unfamiliar culture, Blackthrone first faces mistrust and animosity, but he gradually wins over Lord Yoshii Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada), who enlists his help in fighting the regime to seize ultimate authority.
Shogun Episode 6 Explained
In the previous episode, Episode 6 Toranaga ultimately chooses to employ Crimson Sky as his fighting strategy, even if he was initially against starting an attack at Osaka Palace.
His choice was motivated by the fact that Lord Ito was chosen to be the regent’s fifth member, meaning that war may be called against him and his clan at any time and he could be impeached.
In addition, Ochiba-no-Kata, the mother of heir Nakamura Yaechiyo, has arrived, intensifying palace politics in Osaka.
She was the driving force for Ito’s appointment since she still owes Toranaga money.
While Blackthorne follows Toda Mariko (Anna Sawai) to a brothel where the astute courtesan Kiku (Yuka Kouri) spends the night, their love story is also progressing quickly and appears to be tense between them.
What Will Be In Episode 7 Of Shogun?
In the next episode, Episode 7 Toranaga will be seen pleading with Saeki Nobutatsu, his half-brother, for help.
Many fighters had perished due to the powerful earthquake. That’s why he’s going to ask his half-brother for help in setting up Crimson Sky.
The complicated relationship between longtime friends Mariko and Ochiba who haven’t spoken since Mariko got married will also be more illuminated.
Observing Ochiba’s new strategy for getting revenge on Toranaga could be entertaining as well.
