Pete Davidson has always been known for his edgy sense of humor, wild personality, and of course, his massive collection of tattoos. But in a surprising update, the comedian and actor has revealed that his ink-covered body is no more! Davidson, 30, recently admitted that nearly all of his 200 tattoos have been removed, calling the years-long lasering process ‘horrible.’
Pete’s Tattoo Transformation
Davidson’s love for tattoos has been well-documented over the years. From getting ink dedicated to ex-girlfriends like Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian to covering his body with quirky designs and meaningful symbols, his skin told a story of its own. But during a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Saturday Night Live alum shared that he has almost completely erased his tattoo history.
“They’re almost gone. It’s been a really long, painful process. Honestly, the worst decision of my life was getting all these tattoos,” he said with a laugh. “Laser removal is way worse than actually getting them. I don’t recommend it.”
Why Did He Remove Them?
The King of Staten Island star first announced his plans to remove his tattoos back in 2021, citing career reasons. He explained that spending hours in makeup covering his ink for movie roles became a hassle. “Before I could even start shooting, I’d have to sit in a chair for three to four hours just to cover my tattoos. It was becoming a nightmare,” he said.
Despite this, many fans found it hard to believe that Davidson would actually go through with it. But fast forward to 2024, and it looks like he’s sticking to his word.
The Painful Reality of Laser Removal
Davidson hasn’t sugarcoated the process, describing the removal as “10 times more painful than getting the tattoos in the first place.” The comedian has even joked about regretting the decision to ink himself so much in his younger years. “I was an idiot. I thought they were cool at the time, but now I just look back and cringe,” he admitted.
Laser tattoo removal involves high-intensity laser beams breaking down the ink particles in the skin. The process is not only painful but can take several years and multiple sessions to completely remove large or colorful tattoos.
Fans React to Pete’s Ink-Free Look
Fans were shocked by Davidson’s transformation, with many expressing disbelief that the comedian who once rocked a heavily tattooed look is now nearly ink-free. “Pete Davidson without tattoos feels like a different person!” one fan wrote on social media. Another joked, “Now how will we know what’s going on in his life without his tattoo updates?”
Despite the painful process, Davidson seems to be embracing his new look. Whether or not he’ll keep it completely ink-free in the future is anyone’s guess, but for now, it looks like Hollywood’s funniest bad boy has turned over a new leaf—one laser session at a time.
