Mariana Trevino Will Star Opposite Owen Wilson In The Comedy Series

Mariana Trevino will be a series regular opposite Owen Wilson in Jason Keller’s Untitled Golf Comedy Series. Peter Dager and Marc Maron also feature.

The untitled comedy from Apple Studios features Wilson as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill former professional golfer whose career was cut short twenty years prior. Following his dismissal from an Indiana sporting goods business and his wife’s departure, Pryce fully hedges his bets on a problematic 17-year-old golf pro, played by Dager.

Mariana Trevino Is All Ready For The Show

Trevino is getting ready to play the same character in the miniseries of the same name as she did in the popular musical Mentiras. Additionally, she most recently starred opposite Tom Hanks in Marc Forester’s A Man Called Otto. Before that, she starred in three films: Jose Maria Yazpik’s Polvo, which won her an Ariel nomination; Manolo Caro’s comedy classic Perfect Strangers; and Overboard, where she co-starred with Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris. Her television credits include the title role in Cecilia, the female lead in the well-watched LatAm Netflix soccer series Club De Cuervos, and recurring parts in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico and La Casa De Las Flores.
