The new action-drama series “Man on Fire” on Netflix will star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who will also serve as executive producer. Steven Caple Jr., the director of “Creed II” and an executive producer, will helm the first two episodes.
Based on the book series “Man on Fire” by A.J. Quinnell, the television program follows the success of the Denzel Washington-led film from 2004. There will be eight episodes in the first season.
Story Of Man On Fire
The story of ‘Man on Fire’ centers on John Creasy. Creasy suffers from severe PTSD. Creasy was formerly a highly proficient and capable Special Forces Mercenary renowned for surviving even the most hopeless circumstances. He embarks on a journey of atonement, driven to conquer his inner demons. However, he finds himself back in the fire, battling harder than ever before he can settle into this new existence.
Showrunner, executive producer, and writer Kyle Killen (“Fear Street”) will oversee “Man on Fire.” Abbas-Mateen, Caple, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann for New Regency Productions; Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Tracey Cook under Chernin Entertainment; Killen and Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven; Ed McDonnell, Michael Polaire, and others make up the entire executive producer team.
