Jimmy Kimmel very popular talk show where celebrities share their moments might come to an end. Jimmy Kimmel hinted that his current deal with ABC comes to an end in 2025, it might be his last late-night talk show.
This statement he previously also stated that he is considering retirement at the age of 56 and is taking his time getting ready to host the Oscars in 2024.
Jimmy Kimmel acknowledged that he became bored of getting ready for performances and that on difficult nights, he wished his contract would expire because he missed the excitement.
This is what he said “I believe this is my last contract,” over this statement, everyone laughed at me and I hate to tell it, but every time I think anything like that, it turns out not to be the case. My contract has a little over two years left on it, which seems like a reasonable amount of time. That appears to be sufficient. “When you’re doing it, it’s difficult to yearn for it,” he said.
“On Wednesday evening, I was extremely exhausted and had a ton of screenplays to go through. I needed to rework and polish all of these Oscar pitch concepts, and I was literally nodding off my computer,” he recalled.
Jimmy Kimmel Said He Finds It Boring
During those times, I find myself thinking, ‘I can’t wait for my contract to end.’ “But after I go on strike or take the summer off, you start saying, ‘Yeah, I miss the fun stuff,'” he went on saying.
“Oh, I was never able to get to this, and I was never able to that,” Kimmel continued, “I know that when I die if I’m fortunate enough to die on my own terms in my own bed. I am aware of it about myself.”
He wants to avoid regretting things left undone, so he focuses on his hobbies even if he is unsure of what he will do next.
Kimmel had previously expressed interest in retiring before his 2023 renewal but chose to prioritize his work during the writers’ strike of that year. Kimmel’s current contract is set to expire in 2025, and after that, he may announce the end of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show series.
