Netflix’s popular series follows Collins’ character Emily Cooper as she navigates romantic and professional setbacks in Paris and, more recently, Rome. In just one week after its August release, Season 4 Part 1 garnered close to 20 million views.
“We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!” The show’s creator, Darren Star told Netflix’s Tudum.
What The Star Had Said?
Season 4 alternates between Rome and Paris. Eventually, Emily relocates to the Eternal City for business, entertaining a new suitor, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), while Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) comes to terms with the fact that still isn’t ready to call it quits on their romance.
“There is going to be an Emily in Rome. Star stated, “It doesn’t mean she won’t be in Paris; rather, she will be present in Rome.
He went on, “I think there’s a genuine spark, a genuine connection, and a genuine romantic connection between Emily and Marcello. The following season will see a lot of that continuing to unfold.
The new location of Emily in Paris, according to director Andrew Fleming, is a “breath of fresh air,” not only for Emily but also for the entire team.
“I think at its core, the DNA of the show is this idea, and it’s a fantasy, but it’s also just this kind of human hope, which is that I could always pick up and go to a new place and start a new job and have a new life,” he stated to Entertainment Weekly.
