Keanu Reeves’s John Wick As Compared To Monkey Man

John Wick’s Keanu Reeves movie brought in US$14.4 million during its first week of release, but that was almost a decade ago. Two further movies and a web series in the John Wick franchise have been released, and there are discussions about expanding the franchise to include a female lead.

Before producer Jordan Peele viewed the movie at the screening and determined it was made for the big screen, the movie was originally scheduled for a direct-to-digital distribution on Netflix. The crowd gave the movie a standing ovation upon its premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival. Dev Patel’s tribute to Bollywood and Korean cinema, the movie will open in 27 markets worldwide on May 5.

The movie’s release date in India is April 19th, 2024. It has been postponed until now. If all goes according to plan, the 26th of April may be the official release date, subject to censorship. Sikander Kher, Pitobash, and Sobhita Dhulipala are also featured in the movie.

The First Omen, a prequel to the 1976 smash movie Omen, is going up against Monkey Man. It’s anticipated to gross between US$10 and US$15 million at the premiere. Both movies, though, are unlikely to have an impact on Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire ticket sales, which brought in US$80 million over the Easter weekend alone, with a $209 million global total to date.
