Smriti Mandhana : A Famous Rising Women Cricketer

Smriti Mandhana is rising star in cricket born in July 1996 is an Indian cricket who plays for women’s national team. She is one of the best women cricket which we have. She was born to Smita Mandhana and Srinivasan in Mumbai.

Smriti Mandhana Family members attached to the cricket game play. Her father and Brother both play cricket at the district level. While she derived inspiration from her brother Shravan who play cricket while watching her brother she also started taking interest in cricket. By profession her father and mother were a chemical distributor.

Her father is her backbone. He support her and take care of her workout while her mother take care of her diet. Her brother helps her in her practice and suggest her in her way. Over all her family supported her.

Early Career Of Smriti Mandhana

Smriti inspired to play cricket from his brother, her both plays cricket at district level for Sangli, he was also selected under 16 to play for Maharashtra State tournaments.

At the early age of 9 she was selected to play for Maharashtra. By the time she was eleven years old she was selected to play Maharashtra team under 19.

For best female cricketer she was awarded  Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award in 2018. Also awarded with One Day Player by the International Cricket Council.

Her mother is closely involve with her activities and take care of her diet and also her clothing and also various other aspects.

Domestic Career Of Smriti Mandhana

In the year 2013 October, she was declared the first Indian Woman to score double 100 in one day cricket. She was playing from Maharashtra team opposite Gujarat she score 224 runs from 150 balls under 19 tournament. Vadodara witness this record at the Alembic Cricket ground.

She was the top scorer in Women’s challenger Trophy where she score 192 runs and won the game. In 2016 she was signed a deal  with Brisbane Heat for the Women’s Big Bash League for 1 year and become first Indian woman cricketer who sign for the league.

She also faces one awkward moment when playing against Melbourne Renegades where she fall while bowling and hurt herself in knee.

In June 2018 she signed Kia Super League where she also become the first Indian women to play for the league. She was also named for Women’s Big Bash League season.

She achieve fame and name and all these achievement of her was domestic but she move forward and also won hearts internationally.

International Career Of Smriti Mandhana

When Talking about her International career she made it she made her test debut against England at Wormsley Park and help her team win the match by scoring 22 out of 51 ball in her 1st and 2nd innings. She played her second game when India tour to Australia in 2016 . She played very well and was the only women Indian Player named in ICC Women;s team in 2016.

She miss the World Cup Qualifier and also Quadrangular series in South Africa while she was in her recovery period when she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament. The match was against West Indies where she played very well and become the name of the game by scoring her second 100 in One Day International. She become the part of the team played in the final Women Cricket World Cup in 2017 but unfortunately lost the match.

When talk about her progress as an Indian I really feel proud. In T20 Women’s she become the fastest player to score the 50 in just 24 balls. She was named as the player of the series. During the match she become the third cricketer for Indian team who score 100o runs in WT20s. The star of the team that what she was become.
